We believe that yoga is for EVERYBODY, regardless of age, nationality, gender, race, religion, political views, physical fitness or health ailments. Our mission is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable, showing people how daily practice can support them in their lives, bringing a sense of balance, joy and inner peace, and leading to conscious and happy living. In order to achieve that, we believe in personal approach to every student - teaching in small groups (max. 15 students per class), getting to know each person as an individual - their personality, body constitution, health problems, body weaknesses and tensions - and helping them develop body awareness and achieve their maximum potential.
Our classes combine dynamic movement and creative sequencing of Vinyasa Flow with the emphasis on breath and internal focus of Ashtanga and Hatha's depth of poses, as well as elements of pranayama, meditation, mudras, Ayurveda and yoga philosophy. Throughout the week we focus on a specific body area or group of asanas each day (Please view the class schedule for details), targeting all major muscles and using breath to explore your limits, with the aim of building a strong, yet supple body and mind. Our goal is not to use the body to get into the pose, but to be able to use the pose to access even the deepest corners of our bodies.
What is Parinama Yoga?
Parinama in Sanskrit means transformation and at Parinama Yoga Studio we believe in the transformational powers of yoga. As our bodies carry more memory than our minds and store various tensions, issues and traumas, this is where the transformation starts. Therefore, through a combined practice of asanas (postures), pranayama (breath expansion), meditation, elements of Ayurveda (ancient Indian healing system) and yoga philosophy, we aim to guide our students into the process of self-exploration, helping them release tension, expand their perception, heal, grow and transform.
