Orsi is probably the only person in Goa who is not a great fan of the sun and beach and who settled here because of her husband. She'd been desperate to come to India since the age of 11 and finally made her dream a reality in 2002, when she received a one-year scholarship from her University in Hungary to study at the Central Hindi Institute in Agra. It was there that she learnt fluent Hindi and met her future husband.
She's a living example of the "flexibile body - flexible mind" saying - the flexibility of mind she had to develop in order to be able to face the challenges of an intercultural marriage and life in Goa can be seen in her Hanumanasana (splits).
You can practice with Orsi at Kings Villa Resort joining her Drop in Classes, Privat Classes, Personalised Packages, Jungle Digital Detox Retreat/Weekender or Teacher Development Course.
Mags bought a return ticket to India in 2011 with a plan to travel for three months and get deeper into her yoga practice and absolutely no intention of becoming a yoga teacher. Six years, hundreds of thalis and a few thousands teaching hours later, she's still here, smiling at how different her life turned out to be to anything she had ever imagined.
Although she's been nicknamed 'softie' by one of her friends (and prefers to think it's because of her soft hair rather than a tendency to trust people too easily), she's pretty strong and could out-plank many a fitness junkie.
Magda has left this world in August 2019. May her soul rest in peace.
